Project: "Bright Lights, Global Nights" - Street Team, International Sounds

Ashekenaz have a multi-tiered plan to expand the venue’s audience, deepen community ties, and enhance the overall concert experience. Part of the program includes bringing in at least 4 global acts from underrepresented genres; in aim to provide their Berkley patrons an immersive cultural experience. They will also activate a marketing "street team" to expand the venue's community reach.

Ashkenaz Music & Dance Community Center, or just “Ashkenaz,” is a 52-year-old music venue and dance hall in the heart of West Berkeley dedicated to presenting music and dance from around the world. The venue holds decades of stories of community members — composed of dancers, musicians, audience members, volunteers, and staff, both past and present — who have found themselves drawn to this unique building and the music that lives within.
