The Safety Harbor Art and Music Center (SHAMc) is a nonprofit community arts venue in Safety Harbor, Florida, serving the greater Tampa Bay region. Founded through a grassroots community effort, SHAMc has operated continuously for nine years, presenting live music across folk, jazz, blues, classical, and world music alongside visual art exhibitions, workshops, youth programming, and intergenerational initiatives. SHAMc has grown into a vibrant cultural hub serving artists, musicians, students, and families of all ages. Over the past nine years, SHAMc has presented 350+ live performances, hosted over 700 artists, and welcomed thousands of community members through concerts, exhibitions, and educational programs. Performances take place in an intimate listening room designed for focused artist–audience engagement. The venue features more than 300+ mirrored mosaic panels, creating an immersive art environment that makes SHAMc both a performance space and a regional cultural destination. Sculptural details, repurposed materials, and whimsical artistic elements throughout the space, literally reflect SHAMc’s creative spirit, making the venue itself a living work of art that elevates every live music experience.
