Founded in 2010, Next Stage Arts grew out of a community-led effort to transform a historic church in the center of Putney, Vermont into an accessible performance space — restoring its exceptional acoustics and its traditional role as a gathering place. A full renovation, completed in 2016, created a 195-seat, fully accessible, state-of-the-art venue. With more than 100 programs a year, Next Stage is a magnet for community connection — and a regional cultural hub where live music continues to be the catalyst for our mission.

Project: Local & Global Music Series

A year-round programming initiative that formalizes the Next Stage's commitment to presenting emerging local artists alongside internationally influenced and culturally diverse performers, enriching the community's access to a broad range of musical traditions.
