Project: Parlour on the Block Party

Parlour on the Block Party is an opportunity for The Parlour to bring their community together to enjoy live music from local and regional musicians, and spotlight two major local issues: the continuing impact of the opioid crisis and the planned revitalization of the North Main Street Corridor. City officials will be present at the festival so that the community has a chance to provide input in a project that will shape the future of the city and neighborhood. The Parlour will also partner with a local health services provider to provide support and resources and to distribute Naloxone and Narcan, two effective methods for stopping a critical overdose.

The Parlour’s mission is to provide a safe space for people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures to come together and be entertained at an affordable price. Following the philosophy of Randy Hien, of well-loved Providence venue The Living Room, The Parlour provides a place for musicians to grow and for people to enjoy performances by local, national, and international artists.
